(01) The brief
A business selling hard drives preloaded with hundreds of games. The customer needs to know which ones fit on their drive; the owner needed to stop building lists by hand.
(02) What it does
- Search and category filters over hundreds of titles.
- Order builder with a capacity bar: it adds up the GB and warns when the drive is full.
- Sends the order over WhatsApp with the list ready to copy.
- Panel to import the catalog from a spreadsheet and keep it up to date.
(03) How it was built
- Convex backend with counters and indexes for fast search across the full catalog.
- Covers processed with sharp into WebP at several sizes.
- Catalog deliberately not indexable (the client shares it as a private link).
(04) Security
- Panel with login and sessions with expiry.
- No payment data on the site.
(05) Speed and Google
Paginated and virtualized listings so hundreds of covers do not slow the phone down.
(06) What it deliberately doesn’t do
- It does not process payments; the sale closes over WhatsApp.
